abstract = {The aim of this paper is to analyze and determine to what degree companies in the Czech Republic deploy their own financial resources for corporate training purposes. The sample set consisted of more than 600 companies. The companies were divided into size categories according to the number of employees. The analysis of the results of the questionnaire survey shows that the proportion of companies that solely fund their corporate training needs from their own resources is just less than 90%, irrespective of company size. The assumption was made that the larger the company, the smaller the proportion of companies that would fund their corporate training needs solely from their own financial resources.  The results show that the proportion of companies that (almost) fully fund their corporate training needs through external resources is only 10% for micro-, small, and medium-sized companies, whilst it is under 10% for large companies.
