  abstract = {Digital technologies and digitalization are key elements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and part of the digital transformation and provide innovation for businesses of different sectors and size categories. The use of digitalization, together with the integration of digital technologies in enterprises, results in a digital transformation in enterprises, where business models, activities, processes, products, and services change. The aim of the scientific article is to review the integration of digital technologies into business processes in companies in the Slovak Republic and to compare the situation in companies in the European Union and selected countries with a specific focus on integrating digital technologies in financial market entities in Slovakia. The scientific article provides: definition of digitization, digitalization, digital transformation, digital technologies and classification of applied digital technologies; comparison of the use of digital technologies in selected countries of the world, the European Union and Slovakia. The integration of digital technologies in enterprises has a growing tendency, as evidenced by various statistics, which show that the most used technologies include cloud computing, big data analytics and artificial intelligence.},
