abstract = {The social inclusion of young people has been a major issue in recent times. Employment is essential for social integration - with a quality job young people are stimulated to increase their economic potential, to develop their knowledge and skills, and to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country. The integration of young people into employment is an essential issue with a strong economic and social impact. This paper aims at analysing the youth labour market in Romania compared to the EU, and to identify the factors (personal and environmental characteristics) that determine the youth status in the labour market: employed versus unemployed, part-time versus full-time and freelancer versus employed.
