  abstract = {This study explored the relationship between eustress and academic staff performance in a tertiary institution. The physical and psychological demands of workers at the tertiary level of education make them more vulnerable to high levels of stress. However, researchers have proved eustress is capable of motivating individual employees to perform well and work with interest. Therefore, this study proposed a conceptual model showing the link between eustress and academic staff performance. As a result of the conceptual model proposed, the study suggests that being optimistic and maintaining a positive perception towards work demands will increase their chances of responding positively to stressors and experiencing eustress leading to enhanced performance among academic staff in tertiary institutions.},
