  abstract = {The sector of small and medium-sized enterprises plays a very important role in the economy. Initially underestimated, today it accounts for over 90% of all companies operating in the world. The study researched the situation of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the EU countries. For this purpose, the TOPSIS aggregate measure was used, which made it possible to organize the EU countries in terms of the development of enterprises from the MSME sector. Moreover  the Moran spatial statistics was used, which allowed for the detection of spatial relationships between EU countries.},
