abstract = {English is commonly used in workplace duties and transactions; thus, graduates must be fluent in English to be employed and perform effectively at work. However, most of them have difficulty performing day-to-day workplace tasks due to a lack of competency and command of the language. Compared to the other three language abilities—listening, reading, and writing—speaking performance has usually been said to be highly anxiety linked. Furthermore, employers' most frequently reported obstacle in recruiting fresh graduates is a lack of command of the language. To address this issue, the English Exit Test has been created to help graduates become workplace-compliant after graduating from the Higher Education Provider. From this perspective, this study aims to introduce a technology-enabled tool such as an online speaking portal to reduce the barrier of being non-conversant. In addition, the fear and uncertainty one feels during interviews can be mitigated by the familiarization supplied by such training of a portal. The construction of the online speaking portal, namely the EET Online Speaking Portal, is the highlight of this study, which covers the rationale, context, tasks, technicalities, and system perspectives. The usability of this portal is believed to be fully maximized as test-takers are urged to go through a series of practice exercises from the portal's accessible sets. Familiarizing themselves with the posed questions will help them learn the abilities and give them confidence when they take the real EET.},
