It examines the impact of the integration of Central European countries into the EU on their growth and catching-up process. It evaluates the creation of conditions for narrowing the performance gap between the countries of Central Europe and the old Member States, the rate of catch-up process and factors that have the greatest impact on the real convergence of Central Europe to the EU-15 average. Attention is mainly paid to the assessment of the upward impact of the overall productivity of factors.
