  abstract = {The uniqueness of the business risks lies in the fact that the result can be either positive or negative. In business, it is important to take some risk in order to become successful. It is necessary to work effectively with the given risks as well as its causes and consequences, which can be consequently eliminated or reduced. Management of business risks poses a specific subsystem of a management company, which is considered to be the most valuable tool for managers nowadays. In this article, the authors introduce the basic terminology relating to the risk management and they also represent the results of the research, which was carried out in the period from October to December 2013. To sum up the goal was to get the feedback from business sector concerning the awareness and the level of use of risk management in corporate governance in the Czech economy.
