  abstract = {The aim of the article is to identify the main mechanisms of investment cooperation between the Asian Development Bank and Azerbaijan. The purpose of the article is to identify existing problems in the investment sphere, deficiencies in the legislation, prospects for cooperation on investment deposits and the rights of foreign investors. The author revealed that since 1999, the cooperation of the Asian Development Bank with Azerbaijan has been in the strategic interests of Azerbaijan. Using analytical materials and reports of the Asian Development Bank covering 2013-2017, the author identified promising areas of investment: agriculture, energy, financial and transport sectors, information and communication technologies and social infrastructure. The author determined that taking into account the macroeconomic situation, priorities and government objectives, the Asian Development Bank provides financing for socially significant projects, which leads to the development of not only Azerbaijan, but also the entire region. The author, identifying deficiencies in existing laws, proposes to eliminate inaccuracies in the regulation of the concept of “foreign investment” and in the forms of participation of foreign investors, to clarify the elimination or determination of the results of violations by state bodies.},
