  abstract = {The aim of the present study was to review different surgical affections of the penile urethra in male ruminants [cattle, buffaloes, sheep and goats] with special reference to diagnosis and outcome of surgical treatment. The study was carried out on a total number of 403 animals suffering from different affections of the penile urethra. Diagnosis was performed depending on case history, clinical signs, radiographic examination and sometimes exploratory puncture. Different affections were recorded namely; dilatation [45], hypospadia [17], obstruction [320] and rupture [21]. Surgical treatment was conducted and the results were encouraging.},
