abstract = {The aim of the article is to present the importance of well-being for young women starting their own business. The authors analyzed the relationship between the concepts of welfare, mental well-being and quality of life. In the following chapters, they present the results of previous author's research, which led them to the formulation of the central research problem in the article: the importance of well-being for engaging in entrepreneurial behavior. The article presents the results of the case study research. The research tool was an auditorium survey prepared by the authors based on the dimensions of well-being defined by the OECD. The obtained results were subjected to a comparative analysis. The results of the conducted research prove that students with active entrepreneurial intentions assess the material and especially psychological aspects of well-being higher than the rest of the students, such aspects including their health, skills and professional competences. According to the authors, knowledge of the factors determining mental well-being is the basis for shaping entrepreneurial attitudes of young people and enables their professional activation. It is therefore useful for creating educational policy in the modern economy.},
