abstract = {This paper is an overview and a comparison of the new structural economics postulates and the assumptions of Polish Strategy for the Responsible Development by 2020 (with 2030 perspective). New structural economics is a modern way of thinking about economic development, which combines the postulates of neoclassical and structural economics. This doctrine accentuates the importance of the role of public institutions in reshaping industries and turning hidden comparative advantages into competitive advantages. The author undertook this study to identify several NSE assumptions in the most up to date Polish strategy of development. The discussed controversial strategy SRD 2020/2030 was supposed to make a significant contribution to Polish economic and social development as well as set priorities for public institutions for the coming years. By using analysis and criticism of available publications, literature, and relevant statistical data, the author reviews Strategy for the Responsible Development, evaluates its objectives and presents achievements in the implementation of 'flag projects' over the period 2017-2019 with appropriate criticism.
