abstract = {Conceptual frameworks are developed on the basis of established theories and tested by quantitative business management research to explore behavioral and social constructs and their relationships.  These identified constructs in quantitative research have not been captured through knowledge management tools such as ontological representations defined in computer science, which are often used in the design and development of enterprise software, social networks, search engines, and even research repositories of medical sciences such as PubMed. The lack of an ontology based repository of research constructs, relationships, models, instruments and links to resources in business management makes it difficult for researchers to quickly access resources the way they can through other ontology based repositories. This paper describes the development of an ontology based repository of conceptual frameworks in the areas of business management research. It integrates research constructs and their relationships, and aids in conducting systematic literature review for the identification of gaps in the usage of constructs and their relationships. The repository contains datasets of variables, constructs, instruments, and their relationships which were obtained from the conceptual frameworks of hundred and twenty quantitative research publications belonging to various fields of business management. Using an established methodology, information from the conceptual frameworks was pre-processed and then uploaded into an open source tool for ontology building. The resulting repository helps in revealing (i) relationships that have been tested in one research field but not in other fields, (ii) gaps of the usage of constructs and their relationships from one field to another, and (iii) links between existing datasets, and (iv) links of business analytics with behavioural research through DL queries.
