  abstract = {In the paper, authors discuss issues related to implementation of IT technologies and social media in clinical research, as well as practical problems of human subjects’ protection. Technological development and development of health technologies, in particular, draw significant global attention to bioethics. Information security and confidentiality in clinical trials has much greater importance for clinical trials involving information technologies and social media. Authors concluded that protection of human subjects’ rights and interests require development of recommendations on implementation of information technologies and social media in clinical research.},
