Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the socio-economic development of Russian regions during the pandemic, to reveal the existing problems of their economic security, as well as to determine the ways to overcome them. The authors proposed a methodology for assessing the economic security of Russian regions in the context of the economic, financial, industrial and social spheres of the region. The authors formed a system of indicators for assessing the economic security of the region. The article provides a comparative analysis of the state of economic security in 2019 in Moscow, the Tambov region, the Voronezh region and the Krasnodar region, and presents the final score of the results of monitoring the economic security of these regions. The authors identified the key characteristics of the 2020 crisis that emerged as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The available statistical data allowed the authors to assess changes in the level of economic security of the studied regions. The authors proposed ways to stabilize the socio-economic situation in the regions of Russia based on reducing threats to economic security.
