Abstract

The article’s purpose is statistical analysis and modeling of expenditure related to the management of farmers’ leisure time. The case study was used as a survey of farmers’ households in Poland. A power-exponential model was used to quantify the regularity of expenditure under the influence of selected explanatory variables. It has proved to be a useful tool in researching free time expenditure in farmers’ households. There was a significant positive impact of the level of total expenditure per person and a negative influence of the age of the household head. It was also essential to differentiate preferences according to the type of biological household and the subjective assessment of its financial situation.
