Monitoring the Spatial and Functional Development of Russian Regions’ Industry

Objective. The goal of the research is to study the peculiarities of the development of industry in the regions of Russia and to develop a methodological approach to the spatial and functional analysis of the development of industry at the regional level. Research Methods. The research has been based on the analysis and assessment of trends in the industrial specialization of the Central Federal District regions using the Spearman rank correlation based on the industrial production index. Results. A methodological approach to the analysis of the spatial and functional development of the industry of the Russian regions on the basis of their specialization is developed.
