Economic Perspectives - Challenges, Strategies, and Policy Implications: 37ECO 2021
Abstract
This paper aims to analyze the effects of the fiscal policy on the economic growth rate within the Scandinavian countries by taking into account a comparative assessment of the level of taxation in Denmark, Norway and Sweden during years 2002 – 2018, as well as an econometrical estimation of the impact of the most usual taxes on the Gross Domestic Product growth rate. The results show that fiscal policy in Scandinavia has negative impact on the economic growth considering the differences between the tax structures in each of the analyzed countries.
