Abstract

The discussion on the new directions of development of the European Union (especially resulting from the Territorial Agenda 2030) provokes a redefinition of the approach to numerous research problems. One of them is road infrastructure and its role both in the context of territorialisation of development and regional development. The aim of this paper is to present the role of transport infrastructure in regional development and to distinguish related research areas.
