Abstract

Sustainable public procurement (SPP) aims to achieve sustainable development by using state acquisition power and integrating environmental, social, economic, and environmental considerations, ethical, and legal-political dimensions. Many developing countries, such as Malaysia, face challenges in implementing sustainable public procurement. In response, this paper suggests a conceptual model that includes the SPP implementation drivers. The paper is based on a study of the literature on the various drivers that lead to the implementation of SPP.

Numerous metrics have been established in SPP, however for this study we will looked into employee competence, motivation, training, financial support, top management commitment and organizational culture on sustainable procurement implementation. The study is expected to offer procurement managers and policymakers valuable insight the implementation of SPP practises in Malaysia. In order to address Malaysia’s constant growth, this study is crucial for creating a route map for sustainable procurement.
