Application of Monitoring Systems for Ambient Pollution Analysis: A Review of The Scientific Literature

Abstract

For a long time, we have been fighting environmental pollution which is causing global warming. Causes various diseases in the lungs and cardiovascular system. The objective of this research is to collect information for the user about the air quality in their environment with the use of sensors. For this study, a review of the scientific literature was carried out using the PRISMA methodology, which were obtained from the IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, SciELO and Scopus databases, thus having an amount of 83 articles of which were filtered by criteria of period of years from 2010 – 2020, associated with the research topic and language to obtain a total of 50 articles, for the search of information the key words of the present study referred to the research topic were used. In conclusion, several of the articles on environmental pollution were found to refer to the diagnosis of ambient air pollution, based on the results and value of these projects to society, it can be proven that the application of monitoring systems has effectively influenced the prevention of environmental pollution.
