Abstract

Enterprises that apply onboarding programs help new employees take the first steps in a new workplace. Assimilation of newcomers is crucial because it allows new employees to achieve full efficiency much faster. Despite the fact that onboarding is relatively popular and the process itself is being implemented in an increasing number of companies, the research indicating what competencies the people responsible for carrying out this process should have is still insufficient. The purpose of this paper is to indicate how important are the competencies of people who onboard new employees. This study is the foundation for further empirical research that the author intends to conduct.
