Abstract

In this paper, our goal is to analyze the burnout level among Romanian’s employees, using Maslach Burnout Inventory. In our opinion this study is important mainly due to the fact that in Romania burnout tends to become a very frequent phenomenon, especially among young employees. Another reason why we consider the study important is due to the fact that, from the research undertaken by us, there are only a couple of studies of this type in Romania. The article will attempt to establish the level of burnout by analyzing its three components, namely Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization and Personal Accomplishment. Although there are currently many authors who base their studies only on the first two components (Emotional Exhaustion and Depersonalization), they, and especially the first, being recognized as defining for burnout syndrome, this study focused on analyzing all three components.

Keywords: Burnout, Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization, Personal Accomplishment.
