Abstract

The main objective of the study presented in this paper was to identify and evaluate the factors that affect university employee engagement. The relevant study was conducted as a survey in a group of academic teachers of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.

The study confirmed that various factors affect the motivation and engagement of employees, such as: attitude to work and to the organisation, learning and development, relations with one’s superiors, communication and cooperation, work organisation and motivation. The most critical opinions were received by motivation, which indicates that solutions in motivational systems, particularly the remuneration system, need improvement.
