Abstract
The aim of the current study was to identify the factors influencing job satisfaction. Moreover, the participants’ general job satisfaction was assessed. The study assumed that the participants would have high job satisfaction and that the main influencing factors would be related to their interactions with coworkers and supervisors. Additionally, it was assumed that the factors influencing job satisfaction would be distributed evenly in the sample. The study was carried out in 2018 using an original questionnaire containing questions about the factors influencing job satisfaction. Six hundred and fifty people took part in the study. The sample was not random – participants who were not actively employed were excluded. The participants were working in Polish firms. The study showed that the participants are satisfied with their jobs and that the most important factors influencing job satisfaction are good relations with coworkers, workplace climate, and employment stability. However, the factors influencing job satisfaction were not distributed evenly in the sample, meaning that there were individuals whose job satisfaction is not influenced by any factor and those whose job satisfaction is influenced by all the factors measured in the current study.
