Abstract
The problems of determining the electricity demand of a numerically controlled milling machines were described, with particular emphasis on the influence of the machine tool kinematics on its energy consumption. The research procedure was presented, which allows to determine the influence of the cutting parameters used on the machine tool’s demand for electricity without and taking into account the cutting process. Linear regression was used to determine the relationship that allows determining the machine’s energy consumption at known technological process parameters. The obtained results were experimentally verified and also compared with the calculation algorithms of several tool companies. The developed formula for the electricity demand of a numerically controlled milling machine was used to determine the energy consumption of the machine tool in industrial conditions during operation in series production conditions and the possibility of increasing the accuracy of electricity cost estimation in the machining company.
