Abstract
Smartphones constantly offer newer and bigger possibilities. People are more and more aware of values that can be offered by modern smartphones and apps. Therefore, the selection of installed apps is very often a thorough and non-impulse decision. Designers of applications operate in a very competitive market, where it is not enough to design a new solution, but also implement it on the market in a skillful way. One of the important actions during the implementation of new apps is the adequate presentation in mobile stores. The aim of this article is to identify essential elements in the presentation of applications in popular App Stores, which help to increase the number of downloads and users. The study was carried out on a group of smartphone users aged 19-64. The research used the method of an online survey, and the research tool was a questionnaire consisting of closed questions. 219 questionnaires were fully completed and used for the analysis. After analyzing the obtained results and reviewing the literature, it can be concluded that the correct preparation of the process of implementing a new mobile application on the market includes many key factors, among which the most important factors are: price and functions. High competitiveness on the mobile application market causes that designers must refine all areas of the project, including advertising aspects that affect the position and presentation of the app in App Stores.
