Looking for Advantages in MMO games – a World of Tanks Example

Abstract

Massively multiplayer games (MMOs) are games where players cooperate, compete to archive their individuals or team goals. One of such games is World of Tanks, where players divided into two teams use their tanks to win the battle. World of Tanks offers players many different tanks that can be either bought by two type in-game currencies. The silver coins are usually earned after the battle and are used to buy tanks from the tech tree. Premium currency – gold coins – can be used to obtain premium tanks that provide many benefits to the players. Gold coins usually are obtained through microtransactions that involves spending real money. The main aim of the paper is to apply ensemble linear ordering for symbolic data, with multidimensional scaling for the visualization purposes, for premium VIII-tier heavy tanks that are present in World of Tanks. The results will allow players spend their real money in more reasonable way.
