Deposit Guarantee Scheme as an Important Pillar within Financial Safety Net- A Current Approach

The aim of this article is to present the most important functions that the deposit guarantee system performs in the financial system from a current perspective. The authors’ attention will focus on presenting theoretical issues related to the financial stability of the financial system, as well as assessing the operation of the Bank Guarantee Fund from the perspective of the functions it performs in the financial safety net and selected instruments that it uses for this purpose.
