Selection of Staff and Shaping the Competences of Future Officers, Taking into Account the Model Kalos-Kagathos on the Example of the Training System in the Greek Army

Abstract

The aim of the study was to present and analyze the selection of personnel and the development of competences of future officers, taking into account the kalos-kagathos model on the example of the training system in the Greek army. The research problem was analyzed taking into account the theory presenting the dimensions of Hofstede’s organizational culture in relation to the Latin civilization. The study focuses on the recruitment, then selection, to the development of competences in the teaching of future officers in higher education. In the conducted research the method of analysis and criticism of literature and the monographic method were used, using such techniques as document research and participant observation.
