Abstract
Innovations increase the competitiveness of individual enterprises and of the entire economy. The concept of innovative development should be considered at two fundamental levels. Firstly, in the context of organisational development, which will facilitate defining the mutual relations between these concepts. Secondly, from the perspective of the process, which will allow conceptualising the concept. Innovative development as a process may have social, organisational, economic, technical and even strategic dimensions. Taking into account all the aforementioned areas makes it impossible to develop a unified classification to identify the determinants of innovative development due to the influence of too many factors with variable weights. Taking into account the above considerations and the importance of innovative development, the purpose of this paper is an attempt to identify optimal determinants affecting the process of innovative development.
