Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Organizational Management and Human Resources Practices: COVID36MGT 2020
Abstract
Professionals in all fields are indispensable to make the economy work when societies go through public health crises, natural disasters or catastrophes. Analyzing the studies conducted by various specialists, we notice that a large part of these workers are not willing to work in such conditions. In this paper we wanted to find out what can motivate a person to work in conditions of stress, fatigue and risk of illness, which motivational tools may be applicable in an economy in crisis. The COVID 19 pandemic is one of the biggest challenges humankind has met so far. The population is going through a period of continuous stress that creates many problems and mental health. The category most affected by this problem is the medical staff, who are reluctant to continue their activity.
Our desire is to find out how we can best motivate workers to respond to the call for help in the event of disasters and pandemics and to continue economic activity, thus avoiding blockages and recessions.
