Abstract

Living in a digital world, surrounded by online services and industrial robots, people have often wondered how far can the process of digitalization still continue. Before the COVID-19 pandemic has struck, not many people could have imagined living in a world where social interactions were mere video conferencing calls over digital platforms. However, the year of 2020 has broadened people’s imagination and forced them into adapting to a environment. In this paper pe propose to analyse how the pandemic has influenced the process of digitalization and whether it has accelerated it or not. Furthermore, we would like to observe how health restrictions have impacted the financial performance of different businesses and analyse whether the recent growing number of IT graduates did in fact play a role in this complex process.
