Security with respect to the platforms of companies or other institutions is a problem in these times, therefore, this article is a systematic review of the literature on the analysis of the use of biometrics as access authentication to different platforms. The present review has been based on published articles from 5 databases that are IEEE Xplore, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Scielo, EBSCOhost where 58 articles were found that will be included or excluded according to our own criteria. The collected articles talk about the use of biometrics and the most used types of biometrics. Where later it is concluded that biometric means for authentication cover many fields such as those of medicine, online payments, migration, user or human authentication.
