Abstract
Transport infrastructure affects the level of transport accessibility. The impact can be direct or indirect. The development of transport infrastructure directly affects the spatial and temporal accessibility of transport, shortening the distance and travel time. The indirect impact of transport infrastructure on transport accessibility manifests itself in improving the competitive position of the region and individual companies. The article aims at presenting the impact of the development of road transport infrastructure on changes in the level of regional transport accessibility in Poland. Separate attention is paid to the changes in the spatial layout of transport availability.
