Abstract

The paper presents relevant figures and a general macroeconomic picture of an emerging economy like Romania as well as the main aspects that determine and influence the employment decision of graduates, with emphasis on the engineering in foreign languages, especially the German language, as well as the roles of the actors in the talent management process. Informed persons take their decisions rationally, fully aware of the situation and their options. Bachelor and master graduates face the challenge to understand the local, regional, and global economic situation as good as possible, identify the opportunities, make the best choice for their career, and find the path in their specialization to the best suitable job consistent to their talents and to a work-life balance. Based on data acquisition about the graduates of the German stream of the Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages, the paper enumerates some examples of job titles they hold.
