Abstract
The article proposes a new method of assessing the ergonomics of workplaces using the theory of grey systems. The developed method allows the calculation of partial quantitative indicators of classification employee’s position during work using grey number arithmetic and a standardized normal distribution cumulative. The selection of assessment criteria in the method includes the criteria contained in standardized guidelines. The presented method uses the data obtained from the chronological observation of work activities. The developed method allows for a assessment of the ergonomics of workplaces in terms of the risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders. For assessment, standardized ergonomics criteria for workstations were used based on PN-EN 1005-4 + A1: 2009 and ISO 11226:2000 standards. Assessment scales using grey numbers and a general algorithm for determining ergonomics indicators were developed. The finally developed method was used on a practical example of a production workstation on the assembly line.
