Abstract

This research is one of the pioneer study in Malaysia, which is conducted to propose a framework to overcome obstacles that limit persons with disabilities (PWDs) to return to work. This study is important to ensure that effective strategies can be drafted to help PWDs to return to work in both public and private sectors. This research is important as assisting PWDs to return to work will not only increasing PWD’s income and quality of life, but also assist the employers and nations enhance the productivity and talent retention. This research applies systematic sampling approach to collect 300 questionnaire responses from PWDs who participated the return to work program to have a better understanding on the challenges faced by the PWDs to return to work.
