This paper provides the current practices and potentials of corporate sustainability in Malaysia: Based on carefully selected from high-performance Public-listed Companies (PLCs) in Malaysia, we present a detailed picture of the current state of this research. Therefore, this paper is aimed at exploring the readiness of Malaysian companies thus point to promising future directions. The present study found that quality management and managing stakeholders’ expectations are essentials in contributing to corporate sustainability development. Quality management provides consistent and organised in sustainability effort, which facilitated by quality employees. The findings provide evidence that managing stakeholders also includes efforts on building ethics, i.e. data protection and engaging with meaningful social projects for positive returns. Investigating more complex multi-level corporate sustainability, including sustainability risks and stakeholders’ pressures, are among the promising future research opportunities.
